We have onion starts in 4 varieties right now. We have the Yellow Granex, Red Creole, Candy, and Texas Early White. The Texas 1015Y is out of stock but David says he will get more after the holidays. You get about 48 onion starts in a bunch. They are on sale for $11.96, regularly priced at $16.96. You want to plant them right away for spring onions. We planted ours this past Saturday. Here is the link to our onion starts.

Right now, we are on baby goat watch. Two of our girls, Alice shown above and Trixie on the right, are due any moment and we are out back checking constantly! We recently got a new male Nigerian Dwarf Goat to mate with our nine month old girls who are now full grown. Markie is an adorable little guy and comes to us from a farm in Pipe Creek, Texas.

Our chickens are still moulting so I am getting one to three eggs a day which we are consuming. Hopefully, we will have eggs again for sale in about a month or so.

Our Farm Store hours this week are Monday and Tuesday, 12/22 & 12/23, 9am-5pm. On Wednesday, Christmas Eve, we will be open from 9am to noon and then we will be closed until Monday, December 29 at 9am. Come by and do a bit of last minute gift shopping. Seeds and onion starts make wonderful gifts for gardeners and wanna-be-gardeners. With our 2 websites full of gardening information for newbies, new gardeners will feel like pros in no time!

We want to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas from the farm! Happy planting!

We're Expecting!

Well, not us but our female goats! Here are Trixie and Alice, both awaiting a blessed event. This will be Trixie's first baby and Alice's second. Trixie is gigantic. She looks like she will pop at any moment. It has been about four months since we noticed so it could happen any day now. I think Alice has another month or so to go. I am hoping for two little girls. We'll let you know!

The other animals are doing well. We are getting lots of eggs from our hens now and if you are in the area and you want farm fresh eggs, ours are $6 a dozen currently.

In our area, our last frost date is March 3 which is this coming Monday so we are excited to finally be able to plant.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and God bless you and your garden this season.
