Make A Fairy Garden

Would you like to make a fairy garden? By now, you have probably seen some small container gardens with a fairy house or miniature furniture in it surrounded with tiny plants. These mini scenic gardens are fun for children and adults to design.

You can start off with a small flower pot between 4 and 12 inches across with drainage holes at the bottom. Always use pots with drainage holes so you don't rot your plants out. If the water cannot escape, your plant roots will become moldy and soon your plant will die. (Been there, done that.)

You will need to find mini plants and some type of mini accessories. You can make your own miniature fairy door or fairy house out of polymer clay or you can buy tiny dollhouse furniture and accessories and set up in the pot after you put your plant or plants in the dirt.

Honestly, smaller plants work best but you can add mints, herbs, and small flowers as well as true miniature plants. Fairy supplies are small but you can set up one small area of your flower pot for them, along with some pebbles that you don't add plants to and it will work.

I have a lot of fairy garden supplies that I sell including furniture, dishes, mini paving stones, brooms, buckets, etc. They will be for sale in the David's Garden Seeds® Seed Store out on the farm.
