Broccoli is a cool and warm weather crop. Some can even be grown in the heat of summer. I have grown broccoli down to 20 degrees Fahrenheit.
Broccoli can be eaten raw or cooked. It is good either way.

But unless you have a freezer or will be pickling your broccoli, you will not need much since broccoli cannot be canned, because of its low acid content, so it must be eaten fresh. It will only last 24 to 48 hours unless you have a way to keep it cool. Then it will last 4 to 7 days.
